Spring Rolls with Pork 猪肉春卷 $8
A crunchy and crispy spring roll with pork, glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms and fish sauce. The size of each spring roll was a bit disappointing as each equates to $2 per roll - would be much happier with one more!
Hand Made Prawn and Pork Wontons 手制鲜虾猪肉混沌蛋面 $15
A wonton noodle soup served in rich chicken broth and egg noodles. The wonton skin is a bit thick and in some parts, there are like 3 layers of skin on one side and only 1 layer on the other. The wrapping skills is appauling and the skin itself is too thick making it really chewing and doughy. The stuffings are, however, juicy and succulent.
X.O. Glass Noodles XO酱炒东澳虾粉丝 $17
Fat Pho Noodles 厨师精选牛肉汤河 $17
Pho noodles created with Chef Luke's signature beef broth, thinly sliced Angus sirlion and brisket, fresh chili, thai basil, fresh mint, brean sprouts and rice noodles. I'm sorry Chef Luke, but I don't like your beef broth. Maybe it's because I am a dedicated fan of the pho noodles at Toan Thang, but I think the broth has a 'Chinese herbal medicine' taste to it making it a bit bitter. There wasn't any fish sauce condiment avaliable either :( With the broth aside, the rice noodles however, were the best I've tasted with it being soft and opaque in colour meaning it is very thin.
