Meet Fresh and Easy Way

I've had both Meet Fresh and Easy Way countless times but it's more exciting when I was given the awesome opportunity to sample their unreleased and newly launched menu with my fellow food blogging buddies.

We shuffled our butts upstairs and shared TEN different items from Meet Fresh...

Oh look! A smiley face!

 Smiley Face :D

Let's start off with Meet Fresh's Signature Herbal Jelly topped with taro balls.

Signature Herbal Jelly with Taro Balls (cold)

Herbal jellies are great for summer as it has the effect of removing the 'fire' in your body. This bowl comes with an optional little dash of milk but we decided to leave it out for Miss J.

Taro Ball No. 3 - Red Beam, Taro, Pearls (hot)

Taro Ball No. 7 - Taro Mash, Honey Beans and Pearls (cold)

Supreme Mango with Milky Crushed Ice

My favourite of the day! I also went to Meet Fresh yesterday to get one of them.  The plate is filled with shaved ice, mango, sweetened milk and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Tofu Pudding with Lotus Seeds (cold)

Most desserts at Meet Fresh can be created either cold or hot, unless of course, it's the shaved ice series then I'm not sure how it would be possible to present you with warm ice.

Colourful Straws!

Moving along to drinks now.

Camilia Tea (hot), Honey Lemonade (cold)

Soda Tea Float Series - Mango and Yaleto

I like the soda tea float series because it's bubbly and come with a scoop of cream on top.  It's like drinking an Asian spider! Wheee! To those unfamiliar with yaleto, it's just another way of saying yakult.

Lemon Wintermelon Tea

Thank you Miss J for posing.

 The Damage

Oh but that's not all! We are now enjoying some Easy Way.

Azuki Sesame

A delicious blend of azuki red bean with sesame. The red bean flavour was a bit subtle but the sesame made the milk tea really fragrant.

 More, MORE!

Ooh all of those Asian desserts are so good aren't they! I know they sound odd to non Asian people at first but I think they grow to like them quickly :)

I have now read quite a few blog posts about these Asian desserts especially the herbal jelly and taro balls and how good they are. However, I have yet to taste any of them before and I think it's about time.

They look intriguing and very different to what I'd usually eat for dessert, but if I'm in the area I might look into this.

I am pretty impartial to those pearl balls - but have really cut down my intake since that massive international Taiwanese recall. What to do with summer coming up?
