As promised, normal blogging resumes and hopefully I shall get crazy internet connection from the 10th of April. I am finally jumping on the Naked ADSL 2+ bandwagon and cancelled my landline mwahahahaha!
Afternoon Tea, The Tea Room QVB
So back in September 2011.. *cough*, I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon catching up with a uni friend at The Tea Room QVB. I was absolutely in love with the decor and table set up since I have this weird obsession with Victorian styled items, especially cups and saucers.
We chose the Traditional Afternoon Tea which costs $39 during the weekday and $43 on weekends. This includes "A set selection of finger sandwiches, petit fours, sweet and savoury pastries, scones with preserve and clotted cream" with a tea or coffee of your choice.
Chamomile Tea
We both chose to drink tea because you can refill :P, sipping them gracefully while gossiping lol.
Three Tiered Stand
The food arrives on a beautiful 3 tiered stand with matching plates for the cups and saucers. *love*
Sweet Pastries
The top tier consists of a selection of sweet pastries such as opera cakes, fruit tarts and mini cupcakes.
Finger Sandwiches
The Second Tier had finger sandwiches filled with egg, mayo, beef and lettuce. We gobble them up hungrily but didn't know we could top up the sandwiches! I felt a bit cut that no one informed me about the top up :(
Petite Fours
The Bottom Tier was space for the petite fours of mini strawberries and cream tart, passionfruit melting moments and pastel green macarons.
The scones came a little late but it did come out hot and fresh. Alongside of it were mini quiches filled with spinach and egg.

It was the last day for the David Jones Flower Show so we took a little stroll over and the display was beautiful.

We went here for my work lunch and it's such a pretty room...we didn't have the high tea though, just "regular food".

Ohhh everything looks so so so good :) I love high teas but still haven't had the chance to try the one at QVB tea room every single time I go to Sydney I don't have the chance to go :( Happy Easter!
I've never tried high tea in Sydney before, can you believe it! Victoria room and Tea room QVB are the top two on my list though!
