Marquee Pre-Launch Party

I am TERRIBLY SORRY for the MIA but I've been working flat out non stop for the entire month and only got a catch of breath yesterday...which I spent clubbing.

***All photos are taken with my iphone4 so quality is not the best***

Marquee Pre-Launch Party Invite

I was lucky to be invited to the Marquee's Pre-Launch Party last night and whooh was that awesome or was that awesome. Yes, I knew Paris Hilton was there. No, I didn't get to see/meet/take photos with her :(  Either way, there was unlimited free flow (including cocktails!) so how could I forget my drink friendly friend Adeline and added her as my +1.

Now, I came well prepared and lined my stomach with plentiful food beforehand.

We started the night with a cosmo each in hand <3

Then worked on some shots.

Shots shots baby!

Went to the bathroom for some cam whoring session but wait! Look at this crazy chair outside the bathroom!

Cam Whore Take 1

Take 2 (oh hai Adeline!)

Went back to the club to find girls in skimpy clothes and bodies I could never achieve dancing on stage.

Whooh!

Then went for more drinks....
Long Island Ice Tea

And finally settling in a private booth with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and Margaritas.

Normal blogging will resume next Monday. Till then, stay safe, have fun and eat fruit (part of the phrase taken from Natalie Tran).

Home Thai

Ohhhhh it's Taste of Sydney this week! I'm sooo super excited! If you don't know what that is, it's like a food super event where some of the top restaurants in Sydney gather up in Centennial Park and you can sample their awesome dishes in entree sized portions and for a fraction of the price.

Here is my last year's visit ~>Taste of Sydney 2011
annnnddddd Taste of Sydney has put me in their 'Taste Likes' section! whooh!

Enough about that, blogging about Home Thai today that...kinda happened last year August :/ Photography not up to scratch and I just got my 50mm lens so I was really struggling to manoeuvre around since everything was so much closer compared to my usual 18mm.

I have to say that the food at Home Thai is better and cheaper than Chat Thai. Their dessert menu is not as extensive but only $5 ish compared to $8-10 at Chat Thai!

Pu Nim Yum Mamuang - Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab Served with Mango Salad $14.90

Crunchy soft shell crab with a refreshing mango salad. Too bad it was cold by the time I finished photographing... >-<

Hoi Jor - Deep Fried Pork, Crab Meat, Water Chestnut Wrapped in Bean Curd Served with Plum Sauce $7.90

Crispy deep fried bean curd with a juicy centre of pork, crab and water chestnut.

Satay Chicken $2 each

Skewed chicken marinated with curry powder served with cucumber salad, peanut sauce.

Par Tuhng Go - Deep Fried Dough Sticks (4 pieces for $5)

Now, I grew up with deep fried dough sticks remembering grandma buying them at those street vendors at 6am...mmm...but this is a shorter and sweeter version of it. These pillowy like dough sticks dipped in a pandan sauce with coconut cream is a must order!

 Mango Sticky Rice $5

Three cheers for cheap mango sticky rice! The ones at Home Thai serves 3 different flavoured sticky rice with the mango. One being the original, the purple one with a faint taro taste and the green one having a subtle pandan aroma.

After a full belly, we went to Meadowbank Park to do some crazy exposure experiments with my new lens.

We used the iPhone iTorch as a pen then did long exposure :D

Swirls!!

Say hello to everyone.

FAIL WHALE!

There you go. Hello!
